JEANSLAB

First prototype store from Jeanslab, multi-brand jeans-wear with casual accessories. One of Tashir’s own retail chains, which will now be rolled out across their Rio shopping centres. It was a very quick and good value concept, which was implemented by our client - a few tweaks and it looks great!

Valtera Jewellery

A few shots of the first pilot store from Valtera, which is one of 2 concepts we’ve designed for them - roll-out coming soon!

Monsoon Facade

Bold seasonal shots combined with merchandising displays and window graphics, nice!

2012 Olympic Car

Roadrace cars with logo liveries, looked great. From a controversial start the brand has grown on me.

Pandora

Charm jewellery with great marketing and a clear brand position.

Superdry

Recently extended store in the Bentall Centre, Kingston. It’s is a busy flagship which is always full of young loyal brand followers. Some cool lighting features and custom merchandising elements.

Dundas Castle

Here are a few shots I took of Dundas Castle in Scotland at the weekend. Parts of the building date back to the 15th Century but the shots here are obviously of the later additions, which were apparently renovated in 1997.

ShakeShack

Integrating cafe retail within park environments can sometimes look out of place but in this case the planting literally covers the cafe and the two are intertwined as a united concept. I love the simple signage and use of materials, which sit well within the organic and lush planting.

Forever 21

Great name and strong typographic identity, which is boldly highlighted using dynamic LED signage and complemented with a large LED screen showing video footage.

H&R Block

If like me you find anything to do with or related to tax a reason to curl up and die, you might be interested in these branches of H&R Block. They look friendly, welcoming and retail inspired. If you need help with your tax filing or preparation it would seem like a good place to visit!

River Island

Recent store opening in Kingston by River Island heralds a retro facade but the building is actually brand new and purpose built. I like the mix of traditional elements, such as the tiled columns and how this is blended with impactful shopwindow displays that showcase this seasons affordable styles.

Gilly Hicks

Does covering a shopfront in screens make you want to walk in to check out the merchandise or just make you watch the screen from outside? New store Gilly Hicks poses this question and my initial response was that I was inclined to watch the screens for 30 seconds and then move on. I’m obviously not the the target customer by age or “surfy” inclination, perhaps others will be more receptive…
